This project envisions a multi-phase transformation of the Yellow Mill River waterfront in Bridgeport, CT, integrating ecological restoration, community engagement, and urban resilience strategies. The design introduces a living shoreline to mitigate erosion and enhance biodiversity, bioswales for stormwater management, and green roofs to improve urban sustainability. Public amenities, including a fishing pier, playground, bird garden, and community garden, promote recreation and environmental education. Enhanced accessibility features such as a Braille map foster inclusivity, while artistic water signage highlights historic water levels, strengthening community awareness of environmental change.
